DESCRIPTION

Ideal for light to medium duty one or two piece piston applications, the PSF double-acting piston seal is a simple and economical design for pressures up to 3,000 p.s.i.

The PSF piston seal is an assembly of a rubber seal, two PTFE split backup rings and two split polyacetal bearings. The nitrile seal is designed to be preloaded by the housing to ensure effective sealing at low pressure. The outward thrust of the rubber seal on the bearings as it reacts to increasing pressure prevents any extrusion damage in the sealing area. The polyacetal bearings are proportioned to support the piston during side loading.
