DESCRIPTION

The PB wear rings are manufactured from a highly engineered blend of nylon, glass fiber and PTFE, and offer a high strength sear ring for all cylinder applications, including those with minimal lubrication. With almost a 50% lower coefficient of friction than our standard wear rings, the PB wear rings allow equipment to run smoother and more efficiently.

All PB wear rings are fully machined with cross-section tolerances of only +/-0.001", chamfered corners, and scarf or angle-cut end gaps. Compared to standard tolerances of +/-0.0025", this tightened tolerance improves the alignment and concentric operation of cylinder rods and pistons. The fully machined chamfered corners will better accomodate cylinder housing grooves, further improving piston and rod alighment. And the scarf-cut end gap reduces the loss of bearing support that may occur during cylinder side-loading.

When combined, these features will allow the cylinder to operate more consistently and be capable of operating at higher pressures and higher side loads than with standard wear ring products. In addition, your seals will last longer and the life your cylinder will be extended.
